Cleavage domain

[Geometry]-----layer or lens with a relatively high contentof elongate grains (such as micas or amphiboles)and low content of equidimensional grains (such asquartz, feldspar or carbonate). Together with microlithonsthey make up a spaced foliation. Micas in cleavagedomains commonly have a preferred orientationparallel or at a small angle to the domain.
