[Geometry-mechanism]Mineral grain included in a porphyroblast or larger grain in the rock matrix. Such inclusions are thought to represent a fragment of the matrix which was overgrown by the porphyroblast and passively included in its crystal lattice without significant displacement or rotation. (Passchier and Trouw, 2005, Microtectonics).
